Ayola: Chicken Shwarma & Fries

Submitted by Kira on Friday, 16 January 2009No Comment

…Went back to Ayola for lunch.  This time I got the chicken shwarma.  It’s chunks of chicken, shredded lettuce, tomato, onion and tzatziki sauce (that white yogurty sauce).  I never had this sandwich at Ayola before, and it was really good.  It’s basically like a gyro except the chicken is in chunks instead of sliced.

Overall, it was a good sandwich.  Moist, filling and leaving you feeling light and refreshed.  Also, the fries at Ayola are some of my favorite in the city – they are chock full of potato!

Overall this was a good lunch.
